I can appreciate some of what you went through. Congrats on riding 620+ miles in 30 hours.

Bryce,

I stopped by Saturday afternoon with my 3 kids to see you. I wanted to let you know how much you impressed these young kids. They thought what you were doing was really incredible and we talked about it when we got home and the next day. You gave them a glimpse into the possibilities of what they can accomplish in life. I’m sure that you were disappointed with not making the 24 hour record. But congratulations on the 1,000 km mark. And, as a father of 3 small kids and someone that is always looking for ways to teach them valuable life lessons, thank you for your effort. I can’t tell you how much it means.

Bryce,
Congratulations! 1000K is truly an accomplishment with a world record attached to it! I don’t know if you realize how your record attempt created a community out at the track. Many bicycle racers, Northbrook residents, walkers, recreational cyclists, etc. stopped by at various times the whole weekend to cheer you on and witness an epic ride. I saw some people that I had not seen in years. It was great being there late at night and hearing the cowbells ring! Thank you for creating a community that can only happen at an event like this. It was something different that got the cycling community and the residential community together in the stands. You rock, Bryce!
